Convent of the Sacred Heart is New York City’s oldest independent school for girls, educating students in grades Pre-K through 12. The Lower School seeks a qualified candidate for the position of Technology Specialist beginning late August 2016

Successful candidate:
  • Has experience with working with students in grades K-4.
  • Is willing to collaborate with faculty on designing STEAM projects.
  • Is willing to attend STEAM professional development and similar workshops.
  • Provides training to Lower School faculty and administration in groups and individually.
  • Assists in providing support to faculty and students on technology-related issues.
  • Manages online subscriptions for various web applications.
Skills and Expertise:
  • Demonstrated ability to support Google Apps for Education and integrate the suite of tools into the classroom.
  • Practical knowledge of mainstream educational software applications (i.e. Scratch,Typing Agent, Tinkercad).
  • Knowledge of current trends in technology and educational technology.
  • Understanding of multiple OS platforms and device form factors.
  • Troubleshooting basic hardware and software issues relevant to the classroom STEM/STEAM education.
  • Master's degree preferred.
