Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a Masters in Music Education with experience teaching early childhood and elementary aged students. Experience in Orff-Schulwerk and Kodály are highly recommended. Excellent piano skills and the ability to provide strong vocal pedagogy are essential

Responsibilities:
- Create engaging music curriculum for Lower School students while collaborating with other members of the performing arts department and grade level teams
- Coordinate, accompany and direct various performances throughout the year, including Lower School assemblies, holiday programs, family events and open classes
- Accompany students and faculty during Morning Prayers
- Assess student progress twice per year
- Commit to learning about and supporting the school’s mission
- Communicate effectively with students, faculty and parents
- Commit to personal growth through active participation in professional development
- Fulfill additional responsibilities, which include supervising at lunch and recess times and participating in school events
