Description

Reports to:  Human Resources Director
FLSA:  Non-exempt
Hours:  Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Start Date: Mid-August, 2018
 
 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist and pleasantly greets all visitors to the HR Department, handles inquiries and requests pleasant friendly manner
  • Coordinate and accurately track HR functions such as annual personnel training, new employee on-boarding and orientation, background checks, fingerprinting and compensation letters
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of Sacred Heart's policies and procedures and employee handbook
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate personnel files and ensure legal compliance
  • Create and maintains ADP Workforce Now employee portal (intranet) and website space
  • Assist with NAIS DAISL annual report
  • Perform basic administrative functions, including calendar management, answering phones, reserving meeting rooms, and other office tasks
  • Assist with human resources events, and other events organized at the request of the Human Resources Director
  • Develop and maintain HR related spreadsheets
  • Assist with recruiting for open positions; write and place job ads using on-line sites and social media. Maintain campus job boards
  • Assist with verifications of employment
  • Scan documents into ADP Workforce Now and Docuware, Document Management System
  • Assist with maintaining up-to-date job descriptions
  • Assist with maintaining OSHA report of injury log. Posts OSHA log annually when required by law
  • Assist with maintaining employment law posters and ensures the most up to date are displayed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Ability to handle difficult and sensitive situations/information with utmost diplomacy
  • Must be able to ensure confidentiality
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Display ethical conduct
  • Time management skills
  • Excellent technology skills: Word, Excel, Google Docs, Photoshop, Social Media
  • Comfortable working in a small office setting

Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of experience working in a Human Resources role
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred
