Position:  Upper School English Teacher
Reports to:  Upper School Division Head, English Department Chair
FLSA:  Exempt, full-time
 
Summary:  Convent of the Sacred Heart is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Upper School English Teacher for the 2017-2018 school-year.  This is a full-time school-year position, late August through June.
 
Responsibilities:  Teaching three sections of 10^th grade English and one section of 12^th grade English. Upper School teachers are expected to serve as student advisors, lead extracurricular activities, and be actively involved in the life of the school.
 
Qualifications:  The ideal candidate will hold an advanced degree in English or education, have five or more years of teaching experience, and have shown a demonstrated interest in secondary school education.  A Master’s degree in English or a related field is required.
