Convent of the Sacred Heart is New York City's oldest independent school for girls, educating students in Pre-K through 12. Middle School English Teacher

Convent of the Sacred Heart is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Middle School English Teacher effective January 2019. This is a full-time school-year position.

Responsibilities include teaching three sections of 8^th grade English and one section of 6^th grade English. Middle School teachers are expected to be actively involved in the life of the school.

The ideal candidate will hold an advanced degree in English or education, have five or more years of teaching experience, and have shown a demonstrated interest in middle-school education. A Master’s degree in English or a related field is required.
