Convent of the Sacred Heart seeks an experienced full time Lower School French Teacher for the 2018-2019 academic year.
The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience teaching French using a full immersion approach (95% target language)
• Demonstrate the ability to plan lessons using authentic literature, games, and songs
• Engage multiple modalities so that students can retain information
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and the curriculum chair to refine the existing modern languages program
• Demonstrate a willingness to integrate French language instruction with other disciplines

Successful applicants should possess the following qualifications:

• Maturity, collegiality, flexibility, humor
• Excellent speaking and writing skills
• 3-5 years of teaching experience with K – 4
• BA in Elementary education or related field; (MA in French, Foreign Language instruction or a related field- not required but preferred)
• Native fluency in French language
• Demonstrable commitment to professional development
