Convent of the Sacred Heart is seeking two experienced and enthusiastic Middle School Religion Teachers
beginning late August 2018

Position:  Middle School Religion Teacher Grades 5/6, Full-time
                 Middle School Religion Teacher Grades 7/8, Full-time

Reports to: Middle School Division Head, Theology Department Chair

FLSA: Exempt

7/8 Responsibilities: 7th and 8th grade classroom teaching (Church History and Social Teaching, Morality and the Sacraments); Campus ministry duties (weekly Middle School chapel services, masses, and grade level retreats); Organizing the Sacrament of Confirmation for the 8th graders; homeroom and cafeteria duties. The person in this position is actively involved with the Mission and Goals of Sacred Heart education with students and adults alike.

5/6 Responsibilities: 5th and 6th grade classroom teaching (Old Testament, gospels, and includes units on world religions); Campus ministry duties (weekly Middle School chapel services, masses, and grade level retreats; homeroom and cafeteria duties. The person in this position is actively involved with the Mission and Goals of Sacred Heart education with students and adults alike.

Preferred Requirements:

MA in Religious Studies or Theology

3 years experience teaching in a Middle School classroom
