Position: Lower School Technology Teacher & Technology Integrationist, Long Term Leave Replacement
Reports to: Lower School Division Head
FLSA: Exempt, full-time
Salary Range: Prorated, based on an annualized salary of $67,500 - $100,000 commensurate with education and experience
Convent of the Sacred Heart, seeks a Lower School Technology Teacher & Integrationist Long Term Leave Replacement to begin in November 2025.
The principal role of the Lower School Technology Teacher & Integrationist is to teach weekly technology lessons, collaborate with the STREAM (Science, Technology, Research, Engineering, Arts, Math) team, and support both students and faculty & staff in their technological growth and understanding.

Requirements:
- Experience teaching in a PK-4 classroom setting with an emphasis on strong classroom management and ability to organize and manage classroom materials and resources
- Experience integrating technology into a PK-4 curriculum
- Knowledge of current trends in educational technology related to STEAM
- Knowledge of child development, especially in connection with current technologies
- Strong background in technology, engineering, and/or design thinking
- Ability to troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues relevant to the classroom and STEAM education
- Master’s Degree related to Education and/or Technology/Science
Preferred Skills and Expertise:
- Experience working in a Makerspace utilizing and maintaining various EdTech/Maker tools and hardware for classroom and integration projects (i.e. ToyBox 3D printers, GlowForge laser cutters, simple/squishy circuits, Ozobots, BeeBots).
- Practical knowledge of mainstream educational software applications (Scratch, Canva, Gemini, EdClub)
- Demonstrated ability to support the use and integration of Google Classroom and other components of Google Suite for Education tools
- Understanding and familiarity with OS platforms and Chromebooks
Responsibilities:
- Teach technology classes to students in Grades PK-4
- Differentiate instruction to support group and individual learning, and provide extra support and enrichment as needed
- Track and assess student progress by communicating with classroom teachers
- Provide information on individual student progress for Semester 1 Report Card
- Commit to addressing social justice, diversity, equity, and anti-racist, anti-bias education in the curriculum through lessons, actions, and discussions
- Collaborate with faculty to design and implement STREAM (Science, Technology, Research, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) projects in Grades PK-4
- Attend regular STREAM meetings, as well as faculty meetings, professional development days, and grade-level team meetings as needed
- Support in the development of the Lower School Makerspace and perform equipment maintenance as needed
- Support students with technology-related issues and faculty who may need assistance with digital systems (e.g. Google Calendar, Google Classroom, Conferences via Google Meet, etc.)
- Perform assigned, ongoing scheduled responsibilities with care (roof duty, lunch duty, dismissal, etc.)
- Assist in the care of Chromebooks for all students by liaising between Tech, families, and classroom teachers
- Keep track of both student and teacher loaner Chromebooks and chargers (using an established sign-out sheet system)
- Maintain Technology in LS Makerspace: Kindergarten set of Chromebooks, GlowForge, Airfilters, Ozobots, BeeBots, etc.
- Collaborate with the Lower School Technology Consultant via Google Meet
